First dance wedding song from the Sound of Music?
January 2, 2010
Did anyone choose the song "Something more" for their 1st dance at their wedding?
Do you mean "Something Good"? That’s the song Marie and the Captain sang in the gazebo when they revealed their feelings for each other. The refrain goes something like…"Here you are, standing there loving me, whether or not you should, so somewhere in my youth or childhood, I must have done something good…"
I’ve never heard it at a wedding, but it would certainly be appropriate for the occasion.

if i ever marry again my 1st dance will be ‘lovesong’ by the cure, but ’something good’ is a great 1st dance song, and unusual. it’s not something that you’ve already heard at a thousand other weddings.
