How to arrange for snow to fall during my first dance at my wedding?

I saw a picture of a beautiful couple who had arranged for snow to fall during their first dance at their wedding. I am wanting a winter wonderland theme for my wedding in January and I would love to figure out how to arrange this. I would prefer styrofoam snow to fall from the ceiling….somehow. Please help. Thanks!

There are companies that will let you rent a artificial snow machine for a temporary time.

Talk to the coordinator of your reception location. He/she will be able to recommend special effects technicians. Yours is very likely not the first request of that type for the venue. If not, go to a major theater company and they will have recommendations for someone to perform your wedding magic.
P.S. DON’T RENT A MACHINE WITHOUT TALKING TO YOUR VENUE COORDINATOR. You may be responsible for significant extra charges if he/she doesn’t know.

I saw that same picture and desire to do the same thing for my January 1 wedding. Here are the only things I’ve come up with…. rent a machine, though I don’t know how you’ll get it above you to stay as the ceiling won’t hold the machine. Gather confetti in one of those balloon catches and have someone pull the string as your dancing.
