First Wedding Dance to Salsa (May 24, 2009)

This was our wedding first dance. We choreographed it while living in Guatemala where we took private lessons with the BEST salsa teacher in the world Ciomara (Cio).

We had contemplated doing our first dance to “The Evolution of Dance” or something similar to the “JK Wedding Entrance Dance” but after spending 2 months learning Salsa we decided something incorporating our new moves was probably best. We really enjoyed ourselves performing it and hopefully you enjoy watching our first dance!

Bollywood Wedding Dance

Georgia & Jeremy were wedded on Saturday the 13th of Feb. 2010. To celebrate, they preformed a Bollywood-style dance during their reception at Red Hill in ACT, Australia. This video was filmed with Canon XH-A1s and rendered using Sony Vegas Pro.

The song is called Salaam? Namaste, performed by Kunal Ganjawala and Vasundhara Das.

Our First Dance (full version)

Jennifer and Tony Landa’s first dance at their wedding on November 25, 2006. We wish you could have all been there in person to see it! We coaxed all of our bridal party and friends who were dancers to join in. Due to the weight of the wedding dress, we had to cut a couple of the turns out, and the classic lift from the movie had to be cut as well. Other than that, we tried to stay true to the original choreography from the movie. In response to some of the comments we’ve gotten, the band truly sounded great in person. Music by The Motones. Dirty Dancing USA – Jen and Tony’s First Wedding Dance

We practiced with the movie to do the same movement and dance from “(I’ve Had) the Time of my Life” in the movie “Dirty Dancing” with Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze – minus some turns and the lift (the dress was too heavy). We did it for our first wedding dance. In the original dirty dancing, the camera cuts away, so we borrowed from the Dancing with the Stars rendition of “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” with Tony Dovolani & Cheryl Burke, but they actually also departed from the original choreography if you look at the dances side to side. People have been commenting that the band was bad, but THEY SOUNDED MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! Video by Formica Video, Pompton Lakes, NJ. It was an awesome wedding. And it was back in November 2007, before the Brits posted their video! Great minds think alike, I guess! Enjoy our first dance!

Beautiful Zulugirl Mafuthi Mathenjwa works at the Simunye Community Tourism Association Office (sponsored by DaimlerChrysler) based at the entrance of Khula Village a small rural settlement next to the Dukuduku Forest on the fringes of the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park in Zululand.
Mafuti is the pretty receptionist and dancer in the nearby Veyane Cultural Village we filmed her and the dancers in a wedding song for YouTube. They like to become famous and attract more tourists, so tell them please you saw her here on YouTube. This tourism office is the first in South Africa to be entirely owned and operated by members of the local community.
