And they would be playing classical music while their fellow prisoners were being killed and burnt. So, that music, “Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin,” meaning the beauty there of being the consummation of life, the end of this existence and of the passionate element in that consummation. But, it is the same language that we use for surrender to the beloved, so that the song — it’s not important that anybody knows the genesis of it, because if the language comes from that passionate resource, it will be able to embrace all passionate activity.

Our First Dance (full version)

Jennifer and Tony Landa’s first dance at their wedding on November 25, 2006. We wish you could have all been there in person to see it! We coaxed all of our bridal party and friends who were dancers to join in. Due to the weight of the wedding dress, we had to cut a couple of the turns out, and the classic lift from the movie had to be cut as well. Other than that, we tried to stay true to the original choreography from the movie. In response to some of the comments we’ve gotten, the band truly sounded great in person. Music by The Motones. We practiced with the movie to do the same movement and dance from “(I’ve Had) the Time of my Life” in the movie “Dirty Dancing” with Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze – minus some turns and the lift (the dress was too heavy). We did it for our first wedding dance. In the original dirty dancing, the camera cuts away, so we borrowed from the Dancing with the Stars rendition of “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” with Tony Dovolani & Cheryl Burke, but they actually also departed from the original choreography if you look at the dances side to side. People have been commenting that the band was bad, but THEY SOUNDED MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!! Video by Formica Video, Pompton Lakes, NJ. It was an awesome wedding. And it was back in November 2007, before the Brits posted their video!

Jim and Pam Wedding (Forever)

Jim and Pam Wedding Scene ~This whole scene completely brought me to tears so I had to upload it! ~ Description ~ After Jim and Pam return to their own wedding, Michael has a surprise for them. Even though Pam and Jim specifically told him not to, the song “Forever” by Chris Brown comes over the church stereo and all of the honored guests begin to copy the JK Wedding Entrance Dance as they dance down the aisle. Jim and Pam seen undeterred and it is revealed in flashbacks that they had snuck away to have their own private wedding away from all of the chaos aboard the famous “Maid of the Mist” boat. Then they returned to celebrate, without telling their friends they were already married. They are seemingly married again and all is well as we see a final flashback that shows Jim lovingly holding Pam aboard the boat as he smiles back at the camera.
