Which of these songs should we use for the wedding dance?
June 27, 2010
Drops of Jupiter – Train, or Wherever You Will Go – The Calling. They’re both kind of "our" songs, we’ve shared some very important and sweet moments to both of them, but we only get one wedding dance so i don’t know which to play for it?
I would pick "Wherever You Will Go" if only because the lyrics to "Drops of Jupiter" seem to strongly suggest an unrequited love. "Wherever You Will Go" has lyrics that suggest being apart (i.e. "Who will be there to take my place" and "If I could turn back time I’ll go wherever you will go"); however, these lyrics can be interpreted as coming to the end of life and reassuring your love that you will be with him or her even if he or she finds someone else to love.

you could try and mix both the songs together that way you don’t have to pick one song, cut them in the middle somewhere.

I like "Drops of Jupiter". I don’t think it’s about unrequited love, it’s more about a couple who took a break or went through some hard times and are now back together.
